A big thank you from the Wellington Japan Festival Trust to all of you!
As with previous years, our Japan Festival Wellington event was a huge success. We welcomed 15,000 visitors who browsed 56 stalls and enjoyed performances by 26 groups. The day was facilitated by 53 volunteers, 13 sponsors/contributors, and 13 people on the operations team along with the support of the Japanese Embassy and Wellington City Council. Also followed by 20 Japan Week participants throughout the city.
We were also really excited to launch our first ever ‘Japan Week’ - so another huge thank you to the 20 fantastic businesses across the capital who wanted to join for an extended celebration of all things Japanese.
So, to everyone - visitors, stallholders, performers, volunteers, our co-organisers the Embassy of Japan and Wellington City Council, and our wonderful family of sponsors – a massive, heartfelt thank you and arigatou from us to all of you.
