Our Eastside catering and takeaway joint, renowned for Japanese onigiri rice balls, is setting up shop on vibrant Cuba Street during the Japan Festival. Offerings include a rotating menu of flavour-packed ONIGIRI, and umami loaded CHUNKY MISO SOUP.Dietary-Friendly: Gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free. Veggie and vegan options aplenty!

On Sunday 15 September at 12.00pm, Nao Kamei will be performing Tsukushi-Mai, a traditional dance characterised by unique foot movements and leaps that originated in Kyushu.

Following this, Chindon Rin will play street music! Chindon'ya also known as Japanese marching bands, are a type of elaborately-costumed street musicians in Japan who advertise for shops and other establishments, and a rare sight nowadays.

Workshops by both talented women will take place after their concerts. Come and experience these wonderful artforms from Japan!
