Japan Week 2024 - Festival Day highlights!

September 2, 2024

We’re super excited about all the fun and fabulous stalls that are joining us for the Toyota Japan Festival Wellington Festival Day at the Micheal Fowler Centre on the 14th September.

There’s going to be plenty to see and do and, if you’re not sure where to start, here’s a helpful selection of some things to plan to visit on the big day!

MiniGardens Bonsai NZ

MiniGardens Bonsai NZ is the largest Bonsai nursery in New Zealand, started by husband and wife team Steven and Yulia over ten years ago. Visitors will be able to buy trees, view an exhibition and participate in workshops.

Oryzae Amazake

Amazake is a traditional and very popular koji-fermented rice drink. Proudly handcrafted in Nelson by Japanese natives Manabu and Hitomi who are on a mission to introduce Kiwis to new Japanese flavours that are both super tasty and nutritious.

This is a chance for Wellingtonians to try this unique and delicious beverage for themselves.
